Trojan International Sound System

Fronted by Chopper Dave, Trojan International brings over four decades of sound system experience and a tireless pursuit of the perfect sound.

Raised in London, Chopper Dave began building sound systems at just 14 years old. Over 40 years later, his passion for building, listening and refining remains at the heart of Trojan International. Alongside him is his son Terry, an essential part of the team who handles the heavy work and steps up behind the decks. Influenced by drum & bass and jungle, Terry brings his own musical perspective to a partnership built on family, dedication and a shared love of sound system culture. For Dave, it’s also about passing that passion on, with the hope that Terry will one day take the reins and carry Trojan International into its next chapter. As host sound system for One Drop’s Sound System Yard, Dave and Terry provide the platform for our selectors to share their music. Step into the yard, feel the bass and meet the family behind the sound
